Nokia N97 Design,Features And Specifications





The latest addition to the product line of Nokia is the N97 cell phone, which is fondly called ‘Multi-sensory Mobile Computer’. With a massive storage capacity, widescreen display and full QWERTY keyboard, this phone is sure to attract the Indian consumers, when it will be released in the country in the second quarter of 2009. Nokia N97 is specially designed for the tech-savvy consumers, who look for functionality, high-speed internet connection via their mobile phone and an unmatched music experience. The mobile phone is sure to change the way people connect to the Internet and to each other.

Design

Nokia N97 features a large 3.5" TFT touch screen. The screen resolution of the cell phone is 360 x 640 pixels. It comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and is equipped with handwriting recognition technology. The mobile phone weighs 150g and is 117.2 mm long, 55.3 mm wide and 15.9-18.3 mm thick. The N97 cell phone has been equipped with proximity sensor - for auto turn-off and accelerometer sensor - for auto-rotate.

Nokia N97 is laden with multimedia features, which makes it a good choice for those who love to take pictures or shoot videos and want uninterrupted playback of music. The mobile phone comes with massive storage capacity of 48 GB, with 32 GB of internal memory and a microSD Transflash memory card, providing an additional memory of 16 GB. The phone also provides continuous music playback time of 1.5 days. Clicking photos with this mobile phone is fun - its 5- mega pixel camera comes with high-quality quality Carl Zeiss optics.

Nokia N97 provides support for services like ‘Share on Ovi’. A variety of connectivity options are also offered by the mobile phone, which includes HSDPA, EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD. With its high-speed Internet, the phone is capable of Wi-Fi and has Bluetooth connectivity as well. The concept of ‘social location’ will be introduced by the N97, for the first time in India. The cell phone gets A-GPS sensors and electronic compass as well, which will help the ‘mobile computer’ to sense its exact location.
